St. Andrew's Pioneer Cemetery - (Located at Christie's Beach, opposite the Johnston Rd)
Overlooking the Bras d' Or Lakes, St. Andrew's Pioneer Cemetery is the resting place of many of the
first settlers to the Little Bras d' Or area. Many of the graves are marked as early immigrants from Scotland who came
to the area in the late 17th century. In the past 6 years, the cemetery has been restored and is cared for yearly.

St. Joseph's Catholic Pioneer Cemetery- (Located along the Little Brasd'Or Rd., Approximatly
1 minute along a dirt road next to the Chapel Point Vacation Home))
Many of the first Catholic settlers of the area are buried here. Although not cared for in many
years, the cemetery is still highly accessible and most of the headstones are clearly legible.
Point Aconi Pioneer Cemetery- (Located along the Point
Aconi highway, directly across from the Government Wharf)
Recently restored and cared for yearly, the Point Aconi Cemetery is resting place of many of the inhabitants
of Boularderie Island, Alder Point and Point Aconi. Most of the headstones are legible and many local residents are
still buried there.
